Also, Daeran's dialogue is awesome. Sosiel buffed with Cleric spells is not mediocre melee-wise. Not by a long shot. And a lot of people are talking about late game, but when a new spell level first opens to Daeran, he gets very few spells immediately. Whereas when Sosiel gets a new level, he has access to every spell of that level.
