Heritage rough rider issues.

I have a FIE twin cylinder .22, that is very similar to the rough rider. With the weak iron sights, it shoots bulk 40gr Hi-vel lead LR's about a foot high at 20 yds. At 20 feet it's rediculous high. Maybe the factory set up the guns for 50yds, standard vel .22's, or lighter bullets or something. I shoot 22mag in a couple of my rifles, so I bought cylinders, so all 3 have both. I haven't used one in the 9" yet, but the other 2 shoot both just fine.

Well a while back I bought a Heritage Rough Rider (fixed sights) that was shooting about 7 to 8" to the left at 10 yards. On the Heritage website they suggested bending the front sight to the left.I have a Rough Rider with a 6 inch barrel . I had to bend the front sight slightly to get it accurate . It shoots quite well for a cheap pistol . Probably have 2500 rounds thru it and not a single problem . Picked up a 22 mag cylinder on a promotion certificate included in the box when I purchased the pistol . I have a total of $150.00 in it .I ended up frankensteining the two and took all the good working parts between the two and combining them into one functioning revolver. I've decided to send back the "bad" Rough Rider with all the bad issues combined into one (weak hammer spring, weak trigger, bad timing) and am going to send back to Heritage and see what they'll do.Rough Rider cylinder tolerences. My magnum cylinder total included length is 1.636", giving a loose .003" and tight .004"cylinder-forcing cone gap. Perfect! The .22LR cylinder measures 1.620, giving (by feeler gauge) .014"+ gap.
