You used to be able to get rebuilt Evo's from HD for around $2500 exchange w/warranty, don't know if you still can. Only twin cam softails cam with the "b" motor. All touring and Dyna motors are the "A". The main difference is the Softail "B" motors have 2 balance weights that are driven by the crank. Typically the "A" motors make a few more ponies, but the difference is very minimal. Jan 24, 2020 · The bike is a 2006 FLHT base model Electra Glide. It came from the factory with a carburetor. I might be mistaken about it being a 96 inch motor from the factory. As expected it is almost a drop in affair with a few differences. First. You HAVE to swap the stator assembly. The road kind uses a high output stator which is a lot wider. Also the harness is different. Either swap the old sensors and harness or re pin the road king harness. I wound up re pinning since crank sensor was smashed in the old engine.

With the added size of the engine and the weight of your trike kit and passenger the bigger engine will run hotter. I use Amsoil 60wt synthetic in my engine to help keep the temps lower.
