Not sure of the specifics of that, just that the more sleep you have the more you heal. :p Other than that, you never have to sleep if you dont want to, and can work as long into the night, or the next morning, that you desire. I still recommend sleeping tho if you arent strapped for time tho, since villagers also sleep at night time.
