In 6, they got rid of that, you had to do the races and get a certain amount of stars. When you got the right amount of stars, you were allowed to do the license tests. Once you unlocked them, they were a lot easier than in previous games, making them pretty much pointless.
100% worth buying. Theres a lot to do in the game (and more coming in future updates) so you'll be playing this for a long time. A lot of the problems have been sorted now with only a few little things needed to be sorted like selling cars, more events for different classes and makes of cars but right now it is in a good place. What's with Gran Turismo 4's difficulty level? OTHER. I've been playing GT4 recently and the AI is RIDICULOUS. And not only because it's as if they don't acknowledge your presence on the road and ram into you, but they are just super OP. I've entered some races where I drive a 900 BHP Cien and I'm getting smoked by 400-500 BHP S2000 and Ruf. GT4*, easy to confuse the two. GT7 is effectively GT Sport with most of the aspects missing from mainline GT games added back in, most of which were single-player. There isn't less multiplayer, there just is single-player, and more car customization. GT Sport is basically just Sport mode on the map in GT7. Whether multiplayer good or not is subjective.
