There is pretty good distance between the towers, restaurants, parking lot etc. We stayed in one of the non-refurbished rooms in the Ocean Tower. It looked basically unchanged since it was built in the 70's or 80's.

I just checked the buffet cost, and they are $35 adult (13 and over) and $15 for kids. We are traveling with 13 and 11 year old, so this means it will still cost us $50 every day! Their a la carte menu items are very expensive too.We recently completed our seventh trip to the Hilton Waikoloa Village. The property is still the IMO the best overall mega family resort in the USA.
