Lyle Jesse Wolf. June 11, 1937 — July 24, 2023. Lyle Jesse Wolf passed away on July 24, 2023, at the age of 86. He was born on June 11, 1937, in Ottumwa, Iowa the son of Forest and Irene (Shute) Wolf. Lyle started school at Irving in Ottumwa. In 1947 the family moved to a farm north of Packwood. He went on to attend Packwood Consolidated School.Behner Funeral Home has been in the same location since 1930. In 2003, a crematorium was added to provide on-site service for Fairfield and the surrounding communities. In addition to the crematory, casket and urn selection rooms were also added, as well as additional handicap facilities and entrances.
