It's the "Large" and "Huge" maps that are bigger on civ5 than civ6, civ6 "Huge" being equivalent to the civ5 "Large". Not a perfect map but an enticing one. And if your start is average, skip the wonders for settlers. Actually if you don't have marbles, I'd say that an early settler is always better than an early wonder.
