My LML would pretty much instantly start within less than a second of cranking when not freezing cold. I'll have to time them and see if there is really a significant difference or just seems like a long time to me.And now GM is moving to encryption of canbus data in an effort to stop hacking of any onboard modules. However when GM ditched the LML's piezoelectric injectors for the Denso solenoid injectors, they actually made controlling the L5P hardware with an older ECM much easier. Easy enough, but for anyone doing it, don’t take the shield with the housing. All you need to do are the two 13mm bolts at the back, top/side. Looks like I have manual and mobile regen buttons available on my unit!!! Crappy cellphone photo, but 2nd and 3rd items are manual and mobile regen buttons within the diagnostics screen.Yea, it is generally 1 turn to 1 1/2 turn after the filter makes contact with the housing (depending on the filter). If it is that tight on there, be prepared for a fight to the death with that filter that is on there. You may need a strap wrench, or a metal band oil filter wrench, or even large oil filter pliers.

It gets 30mpg on the highway at 65mph so I guess if it regens for 7% of the time then it will probably drop to 27 to 28 mpg. Seems drop down to like 22 to 24 mpg when it’s regenerating on the highway.
