It's definitely a lot more of a game compared to the Age of Abundance - it's a large map with 10 Civs total, most of which are Naval civs. That said, even on Emperor (6) difficulty, it's not hard to wipe the walls with the AI.

Sometimes it's multiple big oceans you can connect with good Canal cities and build a super trade empire. Sometimes it's 1 big ass ocean and naval strength is viable.Overview.
