Truck 1985 F250 LB 4x4, 460 was my Dad's truck since new. Stock with the exception of add-a-leafs, 8500 GVWR Non-Catalyst CA emissions (FYI- CARB has a header exemption non-catalyst vehicles) Dana 44 TTB. Sterling 10.25- 3.55's open diffs.I have 37's but haven't paid attention to the gas mileage. A lot of people that have full 35's or 37's don't get the hypertech correction, and thereby don't actually know what their MPG is since the numbers are off due to the tire size. I have the hypertech, just haven't paid attention. I'll work on correcting that next week.

I beleive if I had 12 or 12.5 wide they wouldn't rub on the leafsprings. The only way I see you could run 37"s with 4" of lift is as stated, by trimming your fender wells. The leaf springs are rather thick to give the rated load capacity but at the sacrifice of ride comfort and suspension travel. When the truck is loaded, the suspension compression travel is reduced drastically so it will “bottom out” easily.The 6.2 is a lot cheaper/easier to maintain. As long as your not towing all the time there is really no need for a diesel in my opinion. My 6.2 is faster 0-60 than my cummins was it just doesn't have the low end torque of the diesel.
