Shard is an Acrel spawn and his ability to torch the planet is pretty new. Usually to do that digsite in the future, wait before excavating the last part. Set your fleet into the system and give him the middle finger. R5: I made the Shroud god angry so he sent his avatar to smite me. Luckily for me, out of all systems, he chose to materialise in the one where I had Shard the dragon guarding my planet. I’d recommend 40k-50k just to guarantee it, and make sure to fit your ships to counter Shard. As for difficulty affecting guardians, it does. Every difficulty increase buffs guardian damage, shield/armor/hull by 2.5%. 5.As for beating it. If the numbers you are swinging are the best you can do then you cannot beat it.
