I am no world class shot or operator but would like a nicer double stack 2011 pistol.To those not familiar, the "Stacc-Port" is an integral porting job that Vulcan Machine Werks has specifically developed for the Staccato line of 2011's. They will do 2019 to current P's, C2's, and C's. It is not available for previous STI made guns. The C and C2 will have the "Mini-Stacc" which has 3 holes, the "Stacc-Port" on the P has 4 holes.Takedown is like a 1911, but to remove the spring, plug, and guide rod, the Staccato P has a handy spring-retaining feature. Trigger was definitely better in Staccato but I think the $160 Atlas kit in the Prodigy would beat it. Shadow 2 Orange brought up the rear speedwise since its tuned for lighter loads but we ended up running heavier factory ammo through it.

The slide to frame fit in a prodigy felt better than the staccato P once disconnector was polished, which btw slide to frame fit felt different every time I handled a different P at different LGS’s. Anything under 4k for a 2011 is a bargain nowadays.Atlas or Stacatto. Upgrading Springfield Prodigy including magazines. Both Atlas Gunwork's and Stacatto magazines seem to be excellent. Atlas just a tad less expensive, so price is not a factor. Sitting on the fence and overthinking. Both will probably be fine and can't make a bad decision.
