Hello, I plan to do a transmission fluid change from Honda HCF-2 fluid to Amsoil CVT fluid in the next cycle. What is the best way to get as much HCF2 out before filling it with Amsoil? On Amsoil's website, they do not recommend using the flush for CVTs so I won't be doing that. In total, how many quarts of CVT fluid will I need to use?I don't know where the 60k miles came from. Unless you're talking about some type of chemical flush drain fill. Transmission fluid change is usually recommended about 30k for a manual tranny. If it were the CVT or a standard automatic transmission. That's not a splash lubricated system like a manual tranny. You would most likely have to drop the pan to get to the filter to replace it.
