Even if your villagers take a long time to walk to their job, it doesn't matter. They will still produce the same amount of stuff while they are walking.To repair buildings yourself, equip a hammer and set it to repair mode. Then look at the buildings in your village, and look for red modules. You can only repair the red ones (below 50% durability).
