It is fastest on the D500 and Z 9. And noticeably slower on the Z 6 and Z 7. On the Z 9, the AF performance of the adapted 500PF is just as fast and accurate as the native 100-400. Also, on the Z 9 there is essentially no loss in AF performance using a TC-14 behind the 500PF or a TC 1.4x behind the 100-400.
I just got back from a photo expo about an hour ago where there was a Nikon table that had a "prototype copy" of the 35mm 1.4G lens. I was playing with it mated to a D3s. They wouldn't let me put in a memory card to record pictures (I probably shouldn't have even asked) so I really can't comment on the lens' optical performance.giletti. It will be my first time using a Nikon for this. I will be using the D500 and Sigma 50-100mm f/1.8. In my searches, I've found that most people recommend D25 while some use Group instead. As I understand it, D25 will always prioritize the center while Group will prioritize the nearest subject within the target area.

I shot many seasons of cross country with an old AF-S 80-200/2.8 IF-ED that required -17 to -19 of AF fine tune on both my D750 and D500. The first MH-18a I got came with the D200 and shipped with the EN-EL3e. The MH-18 and EN-EL3 only have two contacts, whereas the MH-18a and EN-EL3e have a third contact.
