Oct 28, 2019 · The RF73 remote will not power on the main direct tv box, I tried holding mute and enter, tried the mute and select and enter 961 press channel up and enter..nothing seems to be working. The box has power but can not manually turn it on, new batteries in the remote. Question.

The Direct Streams remote does a good job of controlling my TV's functions except for turning the TV on. It has no problem turning the TV off. Once in a blue moon it will turn the TV on, but most of the time I have to use my Vizio remote.
