Topic starter. Hello, I have a 2005 Honda Accord LX, automatic with 125k miles. I occasionally hear a whining noise that increases when I accelerate. I think its the power steering pump or a seal. There is also some black liquid on the pump.If you have done any modifications your stereo system the sound is amplified. Disable the ANC and poof noise gone. In the factory setup it sends a sound wave that counteracts the engine bay noise but when amplified you hear it.
