My Freightliner will regen every 4 hours when idleing all day. They last 10 minutes max. It's best to let it happen that way. If I disturb it by say driving , it will take at least a 1/2 of an hour to regen @ highway speed. If all I do is drive all day, which is not too often, it will pasive regen no problem , and does not effect performance.
