The battery was dead, so I charged it and even left the battery charger hooked up, but the engine will not turn over when the start button is pushed. Jan 4, 2016 · Another KFX 50 no start case. I have 2003 KFX 50 that my brothers kids used. Quad has about 25-30 hours on it. Was running fine, put away for the winter and would not start. Even with starting fluid. Has spark. Cleaned the carb and installed a new carb kit. Set the float. Still no pop, even with starting fluid. One Problem that Im having is when the start the KFX 450R it starts up, but it makes the clicking or knocking noise for the first 1-2 seconds after being started. The sounds goes away and it will run fine but if you hit the starter button again the clicking noise comes back, but only when you hit the starter button.It is light and easy to ride.
