I removed the skid pan and found a tube that was coming out of the engine that was leaking. Checked the oil level and it is fine and the coolent level is fine.

If that's the case, WD40 will sometimes loosen them. If the cable pulls out of the plunger, use a screwdriver to reach in and turn the plunger while pulling.That is the one you need. Fan switch is usually bigger then temp sensor so you can't miss it. As for the test itself, fill the pot with water and gradually rise the temperature of it, while at the same time the switch is in the water itself (only the temperature sensing part of it, of course) and hand tester is connected on switch leads.Got a 97 Kawasaki Prairie 400. It's probably the spring loaded gear selector fork under the shifter assy behind the rear head. it's VERY easy for one side of that spring mechanism to fall off when assembling. this way you don't get a full throw when putting it in gear with the hand shifter.Here is a video of a Prairie 400 that wouldn't shift into gear for the guy.
