Just went into a very deep part of a mine (between Hornica & Gostovia) and there are specific iron deposits there. Interesting. Sounds like iron tools are not going to be as readily available as before. Mining a ton of Iron before this update release is probably a smart thing to do.

Iron is now a higher tier material and you need to build a mine to get access to deposits for it deeper in a cave. You also need the tier 3 blacksmith to be able to make tools and weapons with it. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is the one near my village at the waterfall (SE, looks like a little lake on the map). Go up at the top of the waterfall and I think the Clay is North/North East from there.
