Rents on places at the moment are about $1,200-$1,800 for a one bedroom. Electric is about $100 if you don't have A/C and are very frugal about it. If you have A/C, and run it at night, you can expect to pay closer to $200. In general, the long term rentals are no where as nice as the short term rentals.

Brand doesn't matter much as long as the primary ingredient is Zinc or Titanium (very significant amounts.) Don't get hung up on 30 vs 50- very little difference (except the cost.) First, there is a question about whether you are boarding a vessel or sailboat. I said no, but afterwards I realized we are boarding the ferry to St. John.Pro tips: 1) Carry-on only - Takes no time. 2) Global Entry - Takes 10 minutes. You bypass the security line and go to the center line that has a closed retractable belt stanchion; it may not be marked. Go inside the small area and the next available CBP agent will call "Global Entry" and you head to that station.I think it is about 90 miles long. You can go all week and never loose sight of land but sail for 3-4 hours a day and spend the morning or afternoon at a different mooring on a different island. With the USVI there are 3 main islands.
