Saw an article recommending increasing RAM so I doubled my PC's 8GB RAM to 16GB and it launches and loads decently quickly now. I just clocked it at 1:40 to fully launch starting from DX11 from Larian Launcher. Re-loading saved games takes about a minute. Seems to be a launcher issue. Makes the game basically unplayable.

So I stopped the download, erased the contesnts of the BG3 directory then tried again. It went trhough the Dog `n Pony Show of verifying the (deleted files) then immediately hung at 92% immediately. I am loving the game but GOG is on my last fucking nerve, HELP! I can't help you if you think 20 or so secs is too slow for you for loading a save game. And when I try to walk, the game keeps reloading the assets (I even managed to find some out-of-bounds stuff like dev textures lol).Some motherboards have a built-in video port as well. Its a common mistake to make. But back on subject I have a GTX 1060 card and my models are slow to load at time as well. I feel like the EA game is bloated (file size wise) and it could cause slow down at times, but that just my opinion.
