I'm not talking about pop ups, these are balls that are barely making it past the pitchers mound. Weakly hit balls without solid contact at all. My DD doesn't have an uppercut swing, quite... However, they are LA 11 and the one's I look at are ERA, K's, BB and percentage of strikes/ball which would ideally be around 2/3 strikes. With past teams I noticed that more strikes equal more hits. They shoot better flyballs and ground balls IMO than one wheel machines. Bang for the buck - the jugs lite flite machine for home use is awesome and with a 20% ducks coupon (or used) is very affordable. Starting with catching and throwing for 10-15 min, Pop fly's, and grounders for 10 min. So the other 50% of the time the curve doesn't break and goes down the middle of the plate...a pitcher that does that will get hit hard against a good team...even at 12U.
