By doing a parry before a backstab you can sort of break out of the queue and move about freely as the other player is stuck in the animation. Also something I've never used, but I have used the queue to item dupe in the OG ds1 Edit: that's my understanding of it atleast.

Balder Sword does more upfront damage/scales better, has great moveset and great reach for said moveset. This sword is better against bosses and larger enemies, honestly I think it is more nimble then the Estoc ...As an old man once said - "Estoc is Bestoc". Rapier is only better for critfishing and if you're doing pve you might as well critfish with dagger. rapier-can parry and weights less, but has shorter range and bounces off shields and people with perseverance. estoc-better range, better damage, doesnt bounce off.

Overall, IMO the estoc is a very underrated weapon accessible from the very start of the game. It's almost as though From knew how good it was and nerfed the damage to balance it. Don't worry I dont plan to use it for PvP, is just I see it incredibly good for boss fights, it's so quick and burns very low stamina per attack. Poison can be decent, but you lose a lot of normal damage. Bleed kinda sucks. Magic can be decent if you also have a buff. Lightning would be better.
