Threw code P061B (Internal Control Torque Calculation Error) and went into limp mode. Cleared code, ran fine immediately after.Hi, I have a Ford 2014 SE 1.6L. The code was p1299 i think. ~80k miles. Feb 21, 2015 · Hi, We have a 2013 Escape with the dreaded 1.6L engine. It has 11,200 miles and this problem has happened 4 or 5 times. The last two times was within 10 days and 200 miles. This is what happens from everything being normal. First indication is that the power steering shuts off. A safety concern.

Accelerated away from light in a normal fashion. All of a sudden traction control light was flashing and severely limiting power. Odd because there was zero wheel spin and i wasn't hard on the accelerator at all. What was really weird about it was that the TCS wouldn't seem to disengage even after lifting. Just kept flashing.
