I use tradestation on my windows (on my mac) which works pretty well for my needs. It's good right out of the box, lots of different commodities and currency futures for reasonable margin. $3-4k will be enough for a couple micro/ commodity contacts. I wouldn't recommend ninjatrader. Sounds like for TradingView traders are better off using AMP versus Tradovate which integration has hiccups now and then. If you don't tie your orders to 1 tick data or use high fill resolution, your backtest will be wildly different than reality. If you use 1 tick data or high fill resolution, you will be closer to reality (it's pretty good)--I would still visually validate there aren't data issues though, as they do happen (you know it when you see it on the chart).

You should be worrying about first making the money in trading to even transfer money out. I’ve had Tradovate for a while and no issues at all transferring money in or out of my brokerage account, it seems you have issues with a minority of what people are experiencing.
