Subject: RE: JD 6430 fuel/starting problems. KY. Not familiar with the JD engines in particular but my thinking is the injectors or the fuel rail relief are leaking off causing it to not start. Unplugging the suction control valve allows max fuel into the rail and it is overcoming the leakage and letting it start.

Other then low HP and electrical fires in the reviews I haven’t seen much else wrong with the machine. Do not like the low fuel tank but that’s pretty common these daysl, I think it’s only a 540 pto but there are adapters. The clutch isn’t a dry one like on the tractor I purchased so there’s that.
