There is a way to align the pillars so they are not visible on the roof. You need to first use thach roofs then add a layer of metal roof on top to hide the pillars. Using gates witih gate doors as your wall - sure, maybe. Using gate frames and a couple foundations inside those gate frames with matching walls inside to give it a pillared-wall type look and spreading out your gate doors - looks 100x better, imo. Behemoths are an eyesore, as always though, just because they're so massive compared to normal gates.
