A typical freight cycle lasts for three to four years and is more cyclical than a broader economic cycle. In the early part of the cycle, the freight market is balanced.Many carriers are already taking as much as they can, as Yellow’s freight bills per day have fallen by more than 30% in recent weeks, according to a source close to the carrier.
