My advice for tough story bosses such as Maliketh is to stop attacking for a while and spend a fight or two just watching and dodging. Once you know his punishable attacks you can dodge and counterattack safely. The two best iirc are right after his 3 black blade projectiles & a melee slash attack, and after you roll through his destined death aoe.
