Pushing on it does nothing. The dash didn't say "RAB disabled", nor did the "RAB off" light appear on the dashboard. The car manual says to contact the dealer when "RAB disabled" appears, so even though I wasn't seeing that indicator, I decided to contact them given that the on-screen RAB button was grayed out.

The other issue is on occasion when we put the Forester in reverse, the light on the info screen for the rear braking doesn't come on, and the dash actually says "RAB Disabled". It doesn't go away until the car is driven for a bit or turned off. Putting it back into park the into reverse again, etc doesn't fix it. To turn off RAB there are two different icons and for some reason people tend to press the icon than turns off the warning but not the icon that turns off the braking. The warning icon is on the bottom right and the braking icon is on the bottom left of the reverse screen.

RAB issue! So I just got my brand new 2020 subaru Ascent. I have had it for about 2 months no issues till now. So I just backed out from an empty parking lot no cars around at 711 and my RAB sensor went off beeped yellow on the screen and breaked it self. It did that three times and even at a stop light with no cars around.
