The closest thing you'll get to an alternative playstyle for Scout now is FaN, cleaver, and wrap assassin. Very fun loadout that changes a lot of how you play. You're more hit and run, and you get rewarded much more by utilising more skill than an average Scout (two projectile weapons and mastering FaN movement mechanics after all).

On higher difficulty missions, the class requires a large amout of knowledge to be played well. The Pyro can offer his melting powers from his flamethrower, the ability to take down a Tank on his own makes him a very strong contibutor to his team. This is a typical meta Pyro loadout that both secondaries can be utilized: • Degreaser, Shotgun/Flare Gun, Powerjack. Use shotgun if the enemy team has a counter Pyro, otherwise use Flare Gun.
